With this cold front you can hammer the cats up near the discharge

We ended up going to today, we couldn't make it out there yesterday. The water was about 65 degrees (75 by the outlet) and slightly stained. We only caught four bass, but we were trying to learn the lake. There were quite a few other fisherman out there including someone who was filming a show or something for the angling channel. Thats what he said anyway.

Good deal on catching.   Fishing

Last time I fished Fayette was in a December years ago, when I got invited by friend to fish a bass tournament since his regular partner had to go out of town.  I was a sight to behold Huh?, showing up with 2 trout rods, a small bag of freshwater baits my buddy told me to get (some rattletraps and something that looked like a french fry that fished on carolina rig, some swivels, worm hooks and worm weights).

Short story, we were in john boat, I finished in 2nd place and won largest bass and my buddy finished third.  To see the look on those bass anglers  Shocked with their big bass boats, decked out in all their gear when I was announced in 2nd place and largest bass was a sight.  I remember one guy had at least a dozen rods prerigged on deck.

Did help that the guy I fished with was the son of a guide on the lake Wink, but the looks were priceless.
