looking for a new spot to kayak fish/mullet cast

Friends,
I fished padre island years back with kayak and cast net before the developeres
scared tore up all the grasslines and my favorite spot. Time to try a new place so where would a novice to the area go to cast for bait (mullet) and hunt fish on a kayak in the Seargent /Matagorda area? I will throw the kitchen sink at them as well but have been
away with the military and just miss having the great fish I once took for granted.
No matter where you are in the world, there is NOTHING like a
fish on "Redfish". Any help is appreciated.
Thanks,
Al

Sequia is the local Sargent expert. I would suggest sending him a PM.
