Family fishing tournament was not rained out, but close.  My daughter and I boated 3 reds and 7 Trout.

The fish fry is tonight. Good thing we caught some, the others did not...

Very nice marker, so you were out in the rain. I am cool with rain as long as I don't hear any thunder boomers then I get skeered

Great pics and awesome report as usual Marker. I fished Saturday and Sunday Mexiquita and picked up three trout over 26" over the two days. That was about the highlight of our weekend cast and blast. Lots of dinks with about a dozen undersized redfish. Never did get a solid hook up on the redfish. We did manage to miss most of the rain over the weekend in that area.  Had another group fishing north of the causeway and they got pounded by the rain.  I do think I saw your daughter and you on Saturday while you were on the stern fighting a good fish for several minutes. If it was you, she had the net and got your fish onboard. Good teamwork, you taught her well. Nothing like spending quality time with the ones you love. I need to start carrying a camera and post some pics!!!lol.

Yes that was us. I was fishing for Trout with my Waterloo Trout rod and reel,
Never heard any close Thunder, or I'd been home bound in a flash.

Funny you caught Trout, we were fishing for them and never caught a keeper.

Was that you near the Mangroves?
