The July KOTH will be the longest Trout and Redfish. It will be a combination of a trout and a redfish for all of your efforts for the month. It will be a combination of the two fish's lenght in total inches. You can submit a trout on one day and redfish on another day or two in one day. This is for slot reds only. You can submit mulitple entries all month long so your totals can increase as the month progresses, that is if you can catch bigger fish. Grin

An example of how the totals will work

Fisherperson A submits a 25" trout and a 24" redfish their total will be 49" for the month.

Fisherperson B submits a 23" trout and a 28" redfish their total will be 51" for the month.

Fisherperson B will be KOTH

I am sure there will be questions so just ask.

When you take the photos take it with the fish on a measuring board and then also have one of you holding it. Get the date in there somehow on the measuring board. Pics of the fish live while you are holding it is what we want to put on the page to show you are KOTH so be sure to get photos of you and the fish.

I will talk to Jeff about getting something for the winner.

Heavy Duty, How about we do the catch and release for trouts over 25?  Collect points for the release plus the size of the trout for the board? Just a thought to be conservative.

Yes tails will be pinched in accordance with the TPW guidebook. Trout will have to be atleast 15" to be entered.

On the board. Couldn't get a slot redfish to bite for anything but did find some legal trout. Not a monster but it is a start @ 18 3/4". Of course Mrs. Sequoia was able to get the redfish to bite but not the trout. She will post pictures later. Her largest of the day inhaled the top water as you will be able to see in the picture. We had to cut it out of its crushers after we cleaned it. We only fished Friday thanks to the wind.

If the surf is clam enough wednesday I should be able to find a few reds while I am out on the yak in the surf.
