Well after talking to DeLeon and having the summer ive had I said F*&^8 it less go! This trip had a dissapointment aswell as a heart pounding moment. Started out learning the tricks of a peddle drive kayak. Decided to go on and venture a bit when all of a sudden i get a hit and zzzzzz then flat. Chit nimodo but that kept me in the area. Continued to fish the area to only produce a barely legal trout. I then decided to hit a shallow flat area that had been on my mind for a while, get off the yak and emmidiatlyget the feeling of something is missing! CHIT CHIT CHIT MY LOO! Dont know where or how the rod came of my rod folder. I did back track and searched for a while with no avail. My only consilation was that it wasnt my expensive Loo but a lost non the less. All I kept saying to myself was God this is how Im gona start since ive been out for a while.............. I felt like chit pero I figured I have taken so much and given back so very little, maybe it was payback time. I now feel like some of you guys that have lost your equiptment but no point in drowning on the past just move forward. I then come around a place that has been good to me at previouse times and put the Loss of my rod behind me. I cast and my line goes zig zag and set the hook. Ran and all of a sudden it jumps out of the water and said WTS. Didnt get a good eye of it and thought I had a beautiful trout. Radiod in and fought her till she came on her side. Lord and behold as she surfaces, a SNOOK and my heart just pounds even more with no net and my Boga on the back of the yack. She laid and I stared till I just lipped her with my hands and put her in. WOW after the ordeal I just whent through I get blessed with, to me, the most beautiful fish I could ever catch. This is my second one but first on record and largest at that. Took great pics and measured her. She whent 31 inches and released her with no harm. Want to thank DeLeon and the girls for witnessing this special moment with me!

Hate to hear when someone loses equipment, but it will happen to all of us sooner or later. Congratulations on the great looking snook.......can't wait to my first one also.

WOW and Congrats...thats what I'm talking about.  That is one fish on my list to catch.

By the way, how did you like the Adventure.  To me it is one fast yak, kinda of wish I'd never sold mine.

... it's hard to believe that after all those "chit remarks" you got blessed with a 31" Snook; you're lucky you didn't get hit by lightning.   LOL Fishing LOL

Congrats on your catch of the day.  Cool

How skinny water can you go?  Can you just hop out and pull the pedal fins out and walk when it gets shallow?
Very Nice Catch by the way... a hole in one if you chased the little white ball !

You can get pretty shallow, just your stokes will be shorter depending on depth. What i did as I got off to wade was pull the right or left pedal all the way forward then securing it with a bugie. By pulling the pedal forward, the fins flap right onto the hull and dont drag.
