Pro Series handled the gusty conditions like a charm, there was three to four foot swells in some places but I did not go through these places.   I had everything planned out about where I wanted to go and everything fell into place with His guidance. There were few boats out. Water was very dirty and coffee colored and you could not tell if it is one inch deep.  Many places were washed out and murky. Except for my spots I found today.

why do you have to kill'em (tag)?

Don't you just catch the fish.............measure/photograph the fish with the paper..........and kindly release her?

Both oversized was released and one was boxed for the grill for a family outing. I have done more than my part this year,,,i have released over 40 oversized redfish in 08-09 and if I was greedy, I would have used all my tags on the first two oversized. My daughters have their unused tags. Possibly not going to be used because I do also believe in conservative measures.

What is wrong with the picture Roo?

Actually I was misunderstood. I dont HAVE to Kill em... like I stated before I dont have a camera for fishing so there for I wont be entering again. Hope this clears it up. I am big on conservation. It is April and I still had my 1st tag for this year. I dont even eat fish actually. I love to fish tho. I release everything that my hubby doesnt eat. Only reason I kept that last one was cause they wanted redfish on the half shell that day. I am however working on a good waterproof camera. That might come after the new power pole, new truck, and everything else on my wish list  Grin

Darkom, you quitting the monthly tournaments does not make any sense, you did real well and beat everyone till the last few days of April. Go to Best Buy and get a 100 dollar camera that you can download and post up your winnings, you hear me?   Grin

Yea you need to keep at it darkom, you obviously know what your doing Wink

I'm for conservation as much as anyone, but if you're following the laws it's nobodies business, and I personally wouldn't waste my energy explaining myself.

It's those sort of debates that inspired me to start this site, and I refuse to tolerate it here.

Darkom, in Rooster's defense, (I can't believe I am saying this)  all he was saying is you do not even need to use a tag to enter a fish.  I recall the day you caught your fish, we had forgotten to bring a Camera.  I encouraged you to tag that fish and enter it in the KOTH.  Heck it was the first place fish until Darth went out and and hired a guide to put him on the fish . . . . just kidding Darth . . . . don't start another war over this deal.  Bottom line, is I simply think Rooster was trying to make sure the rules were understood.

Darkom, Glad to hear it. Trey's Scooter can manage well in windy weather, call him up and he can take you out,  get the extra quarter inch you need to win April's KOTH. Trey always has time to fish. Still two more days. Get er' Darkom. I remembered Trey and I during the Winter Showdown, and it was a nail biter. Try it. Everyone will cheer for you, a female angler kicks my ass and you get a postup front page with your fish for a whole month of May. Wink

Trey, everything is cool.  Grin
