This thread will be the official welcome wagon! Lots of new members are signing on so I wanted to offer you a place to introduce yourselves. Tell us where you fish, why you fish, how you fish, etc..
This is still a pretty new site, online since January. But there are some of the best people in Texas on here, just do some reading and you'll see what I mean.
So, welcome to Texas Flats Fishing.

Well I will go ahead and start this. When i joined a week ago last Friday I was member 298, this site is growing fast.
Presently I am fishing Braunig and Calveras lakes at San Antonio for Reds and stripers. Have fished Choke canyon and lake Corpis. My previous trips to the coast were in the surf how ever I have aquired a Blue Wave 189 super tunnel for the bay and am chomping at the bit to get there.

Hi to all, I have been looking for a forum like this one and I finally found it. I fish the Lower Laguna madre around Arroyo City, Port Isabel, SPI area. I recently purchased a new 18' shallow sport. I am still a rookie . Does any one else fish the flat in the lower laguna.

The LLM is my home right now. I love to fish Mexiquita Flats as often as I possibly can. Another good area in the spring is Long Bar. Highway Shoreline has produced a few good trout for me as well.
Good Luck and Tight Lines, Lance D
