Papa Brick, Girlie, and myself went out with Capt. Bob last night on the floundering trip I won from the Jeff Dean Benefit Raffle. Very cool time. Capt. Bob was fun to fish with, ran his boat extremely effecient, and could also talk motorcycles as well as fish (big bonus for me). Anyway, we ended up putting a good amount of flatfish in the boat after a new expirience in floundering from a boat. We're much more used to walking it out for our fish, but this was something totally different. Great fun for the hardcore floundering maniacs. Girlie also showed up with her first gigged fish (which was a major goal of the trip for me.) Don't think we just showed up and had fish jumping on the boat, Capt. Bob did a wonderful job of grinding it out and finding fish for us. I won't post pics as this trip was a 'meat haul' and I'm not a bid advocate of posting those style pics.
Most importantly, I was grateful for a small chance o help Jeff Dean and his family.

Hey Brickman, Bob Was so glad to have you and yours on board with him for his last trip on Stacy's Backstabber. I think he enjoyed it more than you guys did. He was a little upset with the fuel pump acting up. He wanted to stay out all night for you guys and to look around for himself. That man loves fishing off of that boat. She has become to big for him and has her up for sale. Oh by the way, Bob rode Pro, motorcycles for nine years and is now building a bike. He worked on them when he was just a kid. He could pull a motor and fix it and have it back on the track in 15 minutes for the next race. I will have to send you some pic's of the bike her is putting back together now. It is a 2000 Nightrain. He really enjoyed your Dad. He got a big kick out of him. Thats what makes the trips so much fun for him and that is to see how much the people on board are having so much fun. Watching Girlie was an extra bonus for him. By the way Bob thing that she is a very nice young lady and hopes she enjoyed herself. Thanks guys, I will catch you later.

Darth- We did well. No limits for everyone, but we added to a good meat haul we've already had this year. I hate to mention numbers when I'm meat fishing, just a weird quirk or something.

Lynn- We really enjoyed him as well. I'll fish with him out of whatever boat he ends up with in the future if he decides to take anyone. The fish that Girlie picked up was a little small, but her first by gig- so it was a special fish for her. One I'm sure she'll never forget. I got the impression from Bob that he and my father were cut of the same cloth (ala- Old School Giggers). A salty bunch.

As I said, a great trip and I would do it again in a heart beat with or without an ailing fuel pump!

Brickman, Bob is my old man of 40 sweet years. Yes your dad and Bob was cut from the same cloth. They have saltwater in their veins. You got a deal son, you guys are welcome any time. He still has the boat but for how long I don't know. The next one will be a lot better than this one. He has some really great ideals for the other one. One thing that really gets me is how he can punch that boat in any hole. He is one of the best boatsman I have every seen and a fishing fool. He can see those darn flats like no other. You guys got a slow ride but when I am on the boat with him, hell he flys down that shore, screaming at me DIDN"T YOU SEE THAT ONE. Tongue I would scream back, hell no, but if you would slow this damn boat down I might. Man you should hear us out there. He would reach out in front of me and gig a flounder and tell me, didn't you see that one, it was right there. I standing there holding that 10 foot gig telling him, yeah I seen it and you hit him before I could put my gig in the water. And I would say THATS ONE OLD MAN. Stay on your side of the boat. I accidentally Roll Eyes hit him in the back of the head with the gig and he nearly went over board. Man did I get a dirty look. I told him oh hell if you had gone over i would have picked you up on the way back. Evil Needless to say I don't get to go out much any more. If I do He won't let me touch a gig. Roll Eyes I love going out there just to look around and take pictures. Sometimes I will grab my blanket and pillow and sleep. Sometimes I just look up at the stars and listen to the water slap up against the boat. About that time I will get a fish in my face and he is just laughing his rear off. Will, the fight is on then. He never has been over board, but I have. Shocked Laughing the whole time. We have just to much fun out there. I am so glad that you guys got to go with him. Hopefully you will get to go again. You know that floundering is year around. I am really glad for your dad too. He got to see a whole new way to flat fish. By the way how old is that ice chest that he had? Bob told me about it and said he has not seen one like that in a very long time. Tell him hey for us. Later
