The only time I put my yak in "dry dock" is from December to the middle of March or when April gets here. This is based on water temperature. I find more fish when the water temperature is 70 degrees and above. I also like to catch blue crabs. And I don't like being cold when I'm fishing. Being cold is annoying, but being cold and wet is unbearable for me.

If I didn't get on the water in my yak beyond April, I'd go stir crazy.

Mine has been dry docked since deer season started. I have been out fishing from my yak just not with my wife. I get out fishing at least once a month except during deer season.

I was able to get out to SPI yesterday withdrew my wife anx my nephew, Daniel. I had a great time even though I left so many things at home: both paddles, the key to my wife's kayak. We left the house and my wife asks "Did you get the battery?" Good tbing sheets ask or we would not have had a battery for her ocean kayak torque.
We did not catch any fish but did enjoy ourselves tbanks in a big way to Tony from U. B. Captian kayaks for loaning us the gear and items I forgot at home.
If you are on SPI and need help with kayak stuff Tony is the man to call.
