In about 2 weeks I will start to repair my boat trailer but need to get the boat off it.  I was wondering if some of you all had this problem and if so, what did you do.  I know a friend of mine has a friend who has a pond that I can leave it at, but last I spoke to him he said the pond was dry.  Was wondering what other options I have to safely get the boat off so I can repair the trailer.  Any advise you all can give me would be much appreciated.

You lower the tounge jack completely this raises the the rear of the boat. Another way to raise the rear of the boat is to put a bottle jack under each side of the rear of the trailer ibeam. Bottle jacks are very strong and relatively cheap. Either way you are raising the rear of the boat in the air.

Once this is done. You block the boat with cinder blocks and wood blocks shim it tightly. You only need a little clearance to get the trailer out.

Then you do the opposite, You jack the tounge up as high as you can. And then block the keel about 1/3 of the way back from the bow. Then you let the jack down and pull the trailer out. Even if it is touching a little you should be able to pull the trailer out. The main weight is on the blocks.

Remember you have trailer cross members that are going to interfere with the front block so when you moving the trailer forward and get up to the cross members you are going to need to jack up again and block behind the cross member, or move your front block forward until you are done.

Thanks guys for your input.  If its true that my friends pond is dry, I might just try a combination to the two options.

Thanks again
