Finally took a break from hunting and took the boat out which hadn't hit the water since september. Watched both local weather channels the night before and the only chance of rain was till midnight and then again on monday. So friday I took a friend and his son out to arroyo city.  Late start put us there about ten to be visited by black skies coming in off the Gulf. Dodged the first one but couldn't out run the second and we got soaked.  Left the frog toggs in the garage cause weather guy said no need for them.  With the cool wind and the shakes we headed back in after only getting about 30min. fishing time.  Caught one 21"trout on top water and had some blow ups.

mad at myself cause I disreguarded my cardinal rule which is to always have rain gear on board and not to trust weathermen. But i would surrly like to find him in the mall or store and dump a bucket of cold water on him and say "There I bet You didn't expect it either, now give me $50.00 for my gas, food, drinks and we're even"

Just had to rant, but I saw plenty of other trucks out there.  So I'm sure others got wet as well.
Tight lines.
