Took a friend of mine out today for a first time sight casting trip. I planned on my lady friend Julie showing up at 8:30 but she proved me wrong by arriving an hour early .. It was going to be a good day! Head out and got salty about 9 with my brother Tightlines a few minutes trailing. Saw good fish in small pods as soon as we got out but could not get on anything solid early! Brother Rob had the same problem and couldn't get on a bite early as well. As the mornin progressed a slight breeze came about we started to see more fish ... The reds started biting and quality fish started to get landed! Low tides were a bit difficult to figure early on but when we found em it was game on. Ended up landing 6 reds 5 trout on my rig with my lady friend landing her first few sight casts and my brother landed 8 reds and 5 Trout to end his day! Was a feet day and man people landed good fish! Get out and enjoy a trip!

Fished today with little results! Waded a few spots we did well in last year at this time and now a fish! Did run into a school of 300 or so drum in south Cullen's .. Pretty cool sight! Couldn't find the fish today! Until next time .. Tight lines and singing drags!

Went out yesterday, saw Trout-Thumper coming home, thought he was limited out at about 230ish. Hit the water at about 3, by 430 back at the dock with limits of red/trout. Had to go alone [no takers yesterday on a perfect day], bummer, fish were left biting. Lure of choice was plum/chart HB hustler.
