 Fishing
January 2,2012 High pressure, north wind pushed all the water out, and it was nice and cold. Water was dirty and the waves not bad. It was just too pretty to stay home today. Was kind of a slow day, compared to the fantastic fishing that I have been spoiled by. We have been truly blessed with a long string of pretty easy fishing. The Specks and Reds are still there, but we really had to work for every bite today. This was the first time I used a Maniac Mullet, and it worked pretty well. The first day after the cold front did not help. I am sure the fishing is going to pick up when the weather co-operates. Caught a couple of real nice Specks (pictures messed up), and 4-5 Redfish released to catch another day. Caught Specks in the Sabine River and the the North End of Sabine Lake. Caught all the Redfish in the lake. That tells me the fish are not going anywhere. Not a great day, but not bad either. No better way  to start off the New Year!! www.luckylindycharters.com
