Ahh yes. Never a more proud moment than pulling out a 2WD. And seeing that buyers remorse on their face. Hahaha I'm evil

quick easy trick to prevent spin out if you don't have 4wd.

1. set the prking brake.
2. put lft foot on brake and put in D (not R)
3. slowly press gas w/rght foot
4. when you feel the truck start to rock forward pop the prking brake and let left foot off brake.

You really don't need to have the left foot on the brake if you really trust your parking brake. I tent to be overly causious on the ramp.

Key is slllooowwww....

another helpful hint.....

** Experiment with various depths levels to know what's the appropriate launch water level needed to get your boat off the water.

I see waaaaaay to many guys trying to jump on the tailer, rock, and/or  pull/push their boats off the trailer when all they needed to do was back up another foot or so.

** Good rule of thump regarding amount of time it takes to launch...... if you are taking more than a minute to back up and launch, you're taking too long. Pulling up, backing in, launching, and pulling out can easily be done in well under a minute with practice.  (Please allow more time for new guys who are just learing how to back up or single anglers or guides launching solo  Smiley)

Great point.... cutting in line elevates blood pressure and is hard on morale.

Sometime causes me to reach for the 40 S&W!!! Angry Grin Evil

Rule #£ if your pansy 2WD truck is peeling out trying to pull up your boat don't just mash on the throttle and peel out, friction is reduced with a spinning wheel! Also make sure you know the difference between 'D' and 'R'.

My father-in-law does not understand let off the gas so the tires will stop spinning. I have had to scream at him to get him to stop. When he is helping me on the ramp I give him some help with the boat motor to get him started up the ramp.
