I'm thinking of buying a Laguna rod, I picked one up at Johnny's True Value the other day and they felt light and really good in my hand, but thought the price was a  little high.  Was wondering if anyone has any info on them and if they are good rods.

They were good rods before the company changed hands. The customer service has gone down hill and the quality of the rod has also suffered. My suggestion is get a Waterloo, Joe's Tackle Shop in Mc Allen is supposed to be carrying them.

I have 2 of Waterloos and would not trade them for anything, a friend of mine also has one and can't see why he waited so long to get it.

I saw Laguna Rods at the fishing Expo last year and tried out a few rods, picked out the Texas Wader 1, gave a deposit and got it in 6 weeks. Beauitful rod , and sooo light,  used it several times and broke the tip and sent it back to Laguna, warranty built me a new one, and they sent it thru Fed Ex and some idiot was too rough with it and they left it at my front door with the tube broken in half, rod was broken also and I contacted Laguna with pics and resent it back free shipping and customer service was awesome and built me a new one with a Rod Saver case thrown in the package. Great service and talk to Sarge at Laguna if you need any info.

Customer service went down hill with the previous owners. Have heard nothing but good things from the new ownership
