Last week my last trip I too was a disaster. I had problems in my control with throttling up or down but went out any way. I ended up breaking down and boat would only go about 5- 10mph so I had to creep in about 12 miles. I stoppedtook the controls apart to get the speed to get on plan and get in because of a little plastic broken piece that binds the inner controls together. AS I was work I work the throttle looking up trying to watch were I was going and at the same time keep boat moving well I ended up running straight into the bank into the river sendinf the front at least 10 ' in the air and the rear end of course went under and filled my boat with water not to mention I was down holding piece in place to get in and when i hit I rammed mt head into the console doing so damageing my head and I hit the tilt and trim button so motor come out of the Wat and the switch is broke. First hing I did was get up gain composer and get motor off and try to get tilt and trim to stop from being stuck in the in position. I got it. I got it on the ban of the river and I bailled out the water and use trolling motor to make it in till my buddy showed up and pulled me in. My boat is a mess and right here T Christmas I am going to have to do things slow. Than go i didn't flip whee I filled with water. You put you heart and soul into your boat building it setting it the way you want it and now starts a rebuild. I post a pic there is still mud all in the bottom maybe 2-6" of it. I have some parts and trolling motors I have a brand new never used trolling motor to trade for help to get me on the water. I have few other things guns 40 cal my boat means the world to me and need some expert opinions.Even if you Can just come and take a look and tell me what I am doing wrong or right I have gas money and a trip anyway I have no boat I may consider tradinf=g this 20'Haynie for somethin-else

Big Al,
Things will get better. Just keep your spirits up. It will all work out in the end. Just be glad no one was hurt.

Sorry to hear that brother, I know the timing is bad but it will get better. I'm glad you were not seriously injured or even worse. I'm saying a prayer for you.
