I usually wait till I drift into the ditch darth..that or I use my trolling motor or drift pole to get to deeper water. I do not tear up the turtle grass or seagrass where juvenile trout, redfish, and flounder maybe hiding.   I have seen down close to corpus all the scarring down there..that is why you usually catch the big trout in baffin.  Try a hole shot in that bottom and you will have no lower unit!! Shocked

Regardless motor or boat, I wasnt saying to make dargel look bad... It was to let u all know that I have heart. I dont hate, it dont matter if its a baymaster, dargel,jon boat, etc.... If you need help and im around ill help....

I'm with you brother, I will not pass ANYONE up that needs help.. I've been there and know how it feels, and like karcas said no good deed goes unnoticed..
