Ok ok I know I am new to fishing..and I do not know how to use a bait caster to well! Actually..not at all! On some shows I see alot of baitcasters.. does it make a difference? I use soft plastics 95% of the time with the occasional top water or live croaker! Is one used for certain things or certain lines or what? I would really like to learn how to fish baitcaster..but if there isnt really a big difference I dunno if I want to invest in a good setup or not? Thanks!

It is a matter of choice. If you are going to throw spoons make sure to put a barrel swivel either on the spoon or in the shock leader above the spoon. The reason for the swivel is to reduce or eliminate line twist.
My suggestion is stick with what you know and slowly experiment with bait casters until you decide which you are comfortable with. As for me I use both for different types of fishing.
Good luck.

I learned on spin and moved to bait casters over the past few years! While wading and fishing top waters I like to throw my bait cast because of the action I can get with minimal movement. While drifting and sight casting I use my spinning set ups. Love em both and fish em both regularly! As Lance D said ... Fish with what's comfortable to you and slowly experiment to your likings! Tight lines and singing drags!
