If I'm around for the tournament, my boat has a live well and room for a couple more.  I would love the experience!

All this BS because 1 person wants to keep the fish alive come on. nothing I mean NOTHING wrong with throwing fish in a icechest and bringing them in unless you cut the tail to win a contest which I heard has been done before.

H.  lower your truck by 12" and get skinny tires...then you can afford a live well. LOL

Let's just haul in some fish kickin' or not, measure 'em, weigh 'em...whatevvvvvvv. Grin  If they're still kickin' fine, if not...eat 'em Grin

I say this all in jest as I've never fished a tournament like the one proposed but would love to.  The freshwater trout tournaments we do up here are simple.  1st, 2nd, 3rd for heaviest 5 fish stringer (alive or dead) and 1st, 2nd, 3rd for heaviest single trout (alive or dead).  Here, if a fish is put in the box (by regulation) it cannot be released and must count as part of your daily limit.  We've never seen the need for a polygraph but the $$$ prizes are usually <$500.

I fish an all artificial no guides allowed tournament in Port Mansfield every year called Todos Locos.  Its coming up this weekend, but I think its invite only.  They've never had an issue with cheating because its just for fun and bragging rights.
