Quick report before I head off to an exciting weekend with the love of my life, my wife of course.
Went out with a couple of friends on Wednesday in hopes of getting some good pre- cold front action.
I headed south right off the bat and at our first stop was decent. After a long drift, we iced 5 trout and 2 reds.
Moved on after that and my next stop brought in 3 more reds. A short move north from there yielded 6 reds and in my final move 10 more reds and 2 trout made a bad choice of breakfast items.
A great short day of fishing followed by a tasty meal at my new favorite post fishing meal restaurant, Mel's diner.
Today the fish went crazy over TTFs killer flats minnow- red w/ white tail. I had not used this lure at all up until this trip and for the life of me I don't know why I hadnt. Go get you some. You won't regret it.
Time to go now. Headed to SPI for a Family Life conference called Weekend to Remember. Six years in a row now and I don't plan to miss one any time soon. A great conference to remind you why you married your spouse.
