Mine are bad.I have the rubber flapper.Which is best the flapper or the ones with the ball.

I like the flapper... my last boat had the ball and it sounded like a ping-pong ball floating around..

I used to have the floating ball type and always had water in the back of the boat when more than one person fished back there. I have switched to the flat rubber "duckbill" type and no longer have any problems. I just stick the water hose in the scupper holes when washing the boat to flush out any thing that might have accumulated in there during the day.

So then, you have drain plugs in place of scuppers? Lower plugs for inside the hull too, right? What was that story about the little Dutch boy with his finger in the hole in the dike?
