I was thinking about picking up some at academy because they are on sale. I have never used them so I was wandering if they are any good and how to work them. Or if there are favorites I like goin after  reds and specs but I pretty much don't mind catching anything. I if you have any suggestions I'm opened to them.

A Zoom Super Fluke is one of my go to baits for bass. Rigged weedless they are killer. I've caught a couple trout on them in the LLM. You can usually get a couple fish per lure.
