I have the rod and it's been great. I havent had any problems fighting redfish. I still have yet to land a bull red but its landed upper slot reds. I let a few of my friends use it when i took them fishing and both of them went out and bought it. I have it set up with a Shimano Sienna ($29). This reel has yet to let me down and until it does is when I will upgrade to a stradic.
