I know a lot of ya'll don't like to give up spots but i'd really appreciate some direction as to where i'll have a good chance at hooking up with an alligator gar.

Also, what's the best set up for catching a decent sized gar?

There are a lot in the Arroyo. I use about a 2 foot steel leader under a float. Talapia works good as bait but any large piece of cut bait will do.
