Top water, usually in white or white/Red, treble hooks switched out for 3/0 or 4/0 hooks.  Tie 18 inches of mono off the back hook, and either just a hook or a 1/16th jig head with one of your favorite plastics.  Works great, and I catch fish on both the top water and the plastic, (only once did I have two fish on at the same time).

Thanks for the tip.  I've done that in freshwater but not salt since I'm a real rookie.

DOA 1/2 OZ Gold flake shrimp..work it real slow...or a New Penny 3" Gulp Shrimp with 1/8 oz JigHead.. Happy fishing...
