It has a motor that sounds like something French. The motor is called LegsofLance and it is only about 1/4 hp.  Roll Eyes

Nice looking Hobie yak. I paddle and yak fish from an Ocean Kayak "Scupper Pro TW" that I bought back in 2004.

Yes and No. I have the Outback, Torque on the upper section of the rack belongs to my wife. The blue Drifter and the sand colored T-140 belong to my in-laws even though they have never taken them out.

It is taking a little getting use to to handle and peddle the Outback.

How did the Sunrise colored beast handle for you Ryan? I just have to get used to the peddle drive and the seat.

The torque is great. I have run it with and with out motor now and love it. I am about to get one of the Gone Fishing kayak seats, seems everyone that has one is in love with them. Best thing is , now she wants to get a kayak to go out with me. Thanks again and good luck

I am bringing my Hobie Mirage to SPI for a week starting tomorrow (8/13) - planning on fishing Mexiquita and South Bay - if anyone is going out I would be interested in partnering.
