Fished the WPF fishing tournament today and despite all the wind, we were still able to catch a few fish. Caught a total of 8 trout and 3 reds.

I also fished it.  This is my third year in a row to fish the wp tournament.  Those guys are a neat bunch of friends who throw a tournament out of love for the kids in Weslaco.  Proceeds go to scholarships and such.  It really is a neat deal, I enjoy it every year.

You're right bigrggiii, they are a cool bunch of guys ! Captain HLO, as far as who won I'm not sure. I left early since I didn't have much big ones to weigh in. I'll find out and post it as soon as I know. Let me tell you though, it was a tough day of fishing. Really had to work at it to get some fish on the boat.

I had biggest trout and Danny had biggest oversized red.  Our team finished third.  Don't really know the other guys who won but they had some nice fish.

My trout was caught using cut bait, west of the white pipe.  She was 27.75 inches long and weighed 6.2 pounds.
