We opened a couple and went with the poly.  And had two weighmasters (Richard Moore and Kit), and two Game Wardens overseeing weigh in.  The weigh masters expressed how surprised they were that none of the fished seemed suspicious (or "fishy"---he, he) at this tournament.  However, we did have to disqualify quite a few oversized reds.  Broke my heart.  Especially this one that had to have been only about 1/32 of an inch over (it was less than the 1/16 mark on the tape).

Amazing tournament.  Thank you to everyone who came and had fun!

OK Shallowgal...did the GW pop the guys turning in oversized?  I assume they thought they fit the slot when then turned them in  Shocked
That happened to me at the last tourney we fished in Rockport.  My meaurement was right at the slot, but the tourney officials had other ideas.  Luckily the GW was not there...otherwise, I suppose I would had found trouble.

Did I hear wrong that the announcer asked the guys from red attack team if they were Americans?

Oh Lordy, I hope not.  But you never know.  Diesel Dave is a crusty character and he did seem to ramble on quite a bit.  I apologize if he did.  He's a good-hearted guy though.

We suggested to anyone who thought their fish might be oversized to be sure and tag it.  Even though it doesnt count in the weigh-in, and thats the only red they can weigh.  Had a few folks burn their tags with this tourny
